We believe that God has gifted EVERY believer. Each believer has a purpose and reason for being in this body and each has their part they need to contribute in order to build God's Kingdom to His will. This can happen in many different ways. But one thing is for certain, everyone has a responsibility to serve the body of Christ in some way.
At Calvary Chapel O'Hare, we want every one of our members to be involved. Our church cannot function without the work of many hands serving. As we are the body of Christ and the body can not function properly without ever part being involved.
If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:27-28
Now that we are going to two services you are now able to serve in one and attend the other, missing nothing!
If you do decide to serve, the church leadership expects you attend the other Sunday service that you did not serve in, as it is very important to be in worship and to be feed by the Word. (example. - You serve as an usher the first service, then you would attend chruch the second service)

Nursery
Have an interest in serving within our nursery. We are always looking for women with a love for children to assist with our nursery team. For more details or to request an application contact Liz.

If you have children, we encourage you to consider serving in our children's Sunday School. There are always opportunities to assist in one of the most fulfilling ministries; Children. For more details or to request an application contact Charisse.

From Bibles to money management, we have many different books to assist you in building Godly disciplines. If you're interested in serving within our book ministry please send us an email.
Women's Ministry / Helps Ministry
Maureen is our Pastor's wife and has been heading up the women's ministry here at Calvary for over 19 years. Maureen has a real heart and passion for women, her Vision is: to see each woman excel in her God-given calling, role, and talents, as she draws near to the heart of Jesus.
The women's ministry recently got a name: eXcel women's ministry which came from Proverbs 31:29- many daughters have done well, but you excel them all. Our Goal is: to lead women to the heart of Jesus, strengthen them spiritually, emotionally, and socially, so that they can take this home, to work, and their community, thus impacting their community towards godliness and holiness. How: eXcel ministries will help to facilitate this through prayer, bible studies, various women's events, as well as opportunities to serve and have a part in being the hands and feet of Jesus. If you would like to know more about eXcel women's ministry you can talk to Maureen Deane, Amy Ropinski, or Xiomara Rojas, any of these ladies would be glad to talk with you.
Here at Calvary we care about you and your family. Therefore if you ever have a need that we can help with, we would love the opportunity to do so.
The online tool we are using to meet just such needs is called CareCalender. CareCalendar is a web based system to help you organize meals and other help for families during a time of need. This tool is very helpful in organizing, planning and administering needs in the body. It can also be used to send greeting cards and organize care giving.

Usher's Ministry
If you have a love for people, we encourage you to consider being an usher. Greeting people at the door and just giving a warm welcome to someone new may be all it takes to encourage someone to come back and visit us again. We are proud to thrive on good fellowship and a loving spirit. I encourage you to join and continue that legacy.

House Keeping Ministry
One of the most needed areas in our church is the service with our cleaning ministry. We're proud that our church is fully functional completely on volunteers right within our own body. Because we want to give God our best, we want our church and the impression we give the best it can be. Serving with Joe in this ministry is Bob K.. He is in change of ordering supplies.

Worship Ministry
Worship in song is one of the most important expressions of the Christian life. The Lord says" Be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts and give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
